As a member of Timothy Rice Estate and Elder Law firm, Lisa devotes her time to helping clients understand the process and options of both Medicaid and estate planning and assists in effecting a clients’ wishes both prior and after death.
She assists administrators and executors in the probate and administrative process including the filing of inheritance and estate tax returns and the accounting and distribution of estate assets. She provides compassionate and astute solutions to often complex issues involving family and non-family dynamics. As circumstances dictate, Lisa provides litigation support to Tim Rice in areas such as Will contests and guardianships.
Lisa has spent the majority of her career practicing elder and health care law for an area nonprofit agency on aging. Through this position, she has developed extensive experience with older adult protective services, guardianships and home and community-based options for the elderly.
Lisa has served as faculty for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, providing continuing education classes for attorneys as well as other specialists in the elder law arena. She has co-authored articles on home and community-based services for the elderly. Lisa has also regularly lectured on legal decision-making options, such as Powers of Attorney, Advance Medical Directives and guardianships.
She received her law degree from Widener University Law School and her B.A. degree from Pennsylvania State University. Lisa has been admitted to practice law since 1994 both in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey.
